WHY THIS EXISTS

Every year, thousands of Louisiana students miss TOPS — not because of ability, but because access to the right preparation hasn't been available to every family.

This initiative exists to change that.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE INITIATIVE

Dr. Paul Carey Jr.

PhD in Chemistry. 20+ years of tutoring experience. I started this initiative because too many Louisiana students miss TOPS by a few learnable points.

TOPS Has Four Tiers

Serving families in Ascension, St. Tammany, Lafayette, and parishes across Louisiana.

How does online prep work?

Live online sessions — your student sees, hears, and interacts with Dr. Paul in real time. Twice a week, evenings, from wherever you are in Louisiana.

My student's score is really low. Can this still help?

Some of our biggest improvements have come from students starting at 16 and 18. The ACT has learnable patterns regardless of starting score. The earlier your student starts, the more time we have to build those advantages.

What's the two-exam strategy?

Students take the June 13 ACT midway through the course, then the July 11 ACT after completing the program. The first attempt gives us real data to adjust strategy. The second attempt is where the biggest jumps happen.
